Position Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving client acquisition, managing client relationships, preparing business proposals, reviewing and negotiating agreements, and ensuring smooth coordination between internal teams and clients. The role requires strong communication skills, a sound understanding of legal agreements, negotiation capabilities, and the ability to analyze client profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition & Proposal Management
  • Prepare business proposals based on client requirements
  • Work on RFPs, ensure timely submission, and coordinate with internal teams for inputs
  • Analyze client needs, propose suitable solutions, and support conversion of leads into active clients
  • Agreement & Legal Documentation
  • Review and provide inputs on Letters of Intent (LOIs) and Service Agreements
  • Negotiate contract clauses to safeguard organizational interests
  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies and protective clauses
  • Review and vet Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Prepare addendums for pricing revisions, additional services, or process changes
  • Contract Management
  • Maintain an updated database of signed client agreements
  • Track agreement expiry dates and follow up for timely renewals
  • Support agreement closure by verifying commercial and operational details with internal stakeholders
  • Internal Coordination & Handover
  • Coordinate with Operations to finalize client handover post agreement closure
  • Share approved fees, scope of work, turnaround time (TAT), operational requirements, and client contact details
  • Business & Profitability Analysis
  • Periodically analyze client profitability and present insights to management
  • Recommend pricing or process improvements when required

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, or a related field
  • MBA preferred

Experience

  • 36 years of experience in Business Development
  • Experience in service-based industries preferred

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of contract drafting and negotiations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with experience in profitability analysis
