Escalader Strategic Solutions is head hunting for Business Development Manager : International for its client . The company is Top Trader and Export House in API.

Job Title: Manager : Business Development (International)

Location: Andheri (W), Mumbai

Reporting to: Managing Director

Role Type: Full-Time

About the Company : The company is a family-run pharmaceutical trading company supplying high-quality APIs, intermediates, excipients, nutraceuticals and related products to leading global partners. With a strong international footprint and deep industry relationships, we continue to expand our presence across key regulated and semi-regulated markets.

Role Overview: We're looking for a Manager International BD to lead global growth across our product portfolio. This role involves identifying new opportunities, managing key international accounts, building long-term customer partnerships, and driving strategic initiatives to strengthen our global presence. This is a strategic, high-impact role with significant autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Business Development & Market Expansion

Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities in international markets across APIs, intermediates, excipients, and related categories.

Expand the company's presence in regulated and semi-regulated markets.

Build/maintain customer database; initiate outreach, meetings, and digital engagement, networking and trade fairs.

Establish local partners for market/product entry and global footprint expansion.

Implement cultural adaptation strategies.

2.Client & Supplier Relationship Management

Manage and grow key global accounts while ensuring timely communication and support.

Build long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and manufacturing partners.

Coordinate with international suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.

3.Commercial & Strategic Responsibilities

Lead commercial negotiations, finalize contracts, and drive margin improvement.

Monitor global market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities.

Collaborate with management to develop annual sales budgets, growth plans and market entry strategies that drive sustained year-on-year growth.

4.Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with regulatory, logistics, finance, and product sourcing teams to ensure smooth execution.

Coordinate with quality and documentation teams to support customer requirements during audits and registrations.

Ensure compliance with global regulatory and documentation needs.

Requirements :

Expertise in pharma export regulations, documentation, and compliance

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Advanced analytical skills; proficient in MS Office/Excel and reporting tools

Proactive, target-oriented and strong leadership competence with accountability

Ability to travel internationally as required

Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen

Adaptability to a fast-paced, family-run business environment

Qualifications:

B.Sc./M.Sc./M.S./M.Pharm in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field along with an MBA in Sales & Marketing is mandatory.

Experience :

1218 years of experience in international business development within the pharmaceutical / API industry, with proven export sales, client acquisition, and global relationship management.
