About the Role

As a Business Development Intern, you will work with the business development and client servicing teams and gain practical exposure to the process of identifying opportunities, engaging prospective clients and developing new business for a communications consultancy. Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying prospective clients and new business opportunities.
• Conducting research on companies, industries, markets and decision-makers.
• Building and maintaining a structured business development database.
• Supporting lead generation and prospecting activities.
• Initiating professional communication with prospective clients through calls, emails and meetings.
• Understanding client requirements and identifying relevant PR, branding and marketing solutions.
• Supporting the preparation of proposals, credentials, presentations and pitch documents.
• Coordinating with internal PR, content, creative and digital teams during the proposal and pitching process.
• Maintaining systematic follow-ups with prospective clients.
• Supporting business meetings, networking activities, events and other new-business initiatives.
• Tracking opportunities and maintaining regular updates on the business development pipeline.

Preferred Educational Background

• MBA – Marketing / Business Development
• Mass Communication / Journalism / Strategic Communication
• Marketing, Communications or other relevant disciplines
