Job Description

Emilio Beaufort International · Bengaluru (Field-based) · Full-time / Internship-to-Full-time

We are not hiring someone to sit behind a phone and read a script. We are hiring someone who can walk into a salon they've never visited, earn five minutes of an owner's attention, and leave with a meeting booked. If that sentence made you want to know more rather than made you nervous, keep reading.

Why this role exists

Emilio Beaufort is building India's first organised B2B partner network for premium hair couture systems — starting in Bengaluru. We don't sell to consumers. We partner with salon and clinic owners, give them a zero-inventory, high-margin revenue line, and lock their territory so no one else in their zone can compete with them on this. That model only works if the first conversation with every owner is handled by someone who understands the business, not just the pitch.

This role is that first conversation — on the phone, and in person.

What you'll actually do

This is not a desk job with occasional fieldwork. It's a field job with a phone in your pocket.

  • Walk premium salons and hair clinics in Koramangala, Indiranagar, Jayanagar, and adjoining zones — introduce yourself, identify the owner, and open the door for a real conversation.
  • Make outbound calls to qualify prospects, book meetings, and follow up on proposals already sent — using a structured script, but never sounding like you're reading one.
  • Run first-meeting conversations with salon owners — listen to their numbers, their client base, their hesitations — and represent Emilio's partnership model accurately and honestly.
  • Carry product samples and conduct on-the-spot demonstrations when an owner wants to see, not just hear.
  • Maintain a clean, honest pipeline — every visit, every call, every objection logged, because the person who follows up on you next week needs to know what you know today.
  • Report what the market tells you. If five owners in a week raise the same objection, that's not noise — that's data we need.
Who should apply

We're looking for someone with the discipline to knock on the sixth door after five quiet ones, and the judgement to know when a maybe later is real and when it's a polite no.

You should apply if:

  • You can hold a real conversation with a business owner twice your age without sounding rehearsed or apologetic.
  • You're comfortable being told no — repeatedly — without taking it personally or losing energy for the next call.
  • You'd rather be out in the field at 11 AM than at a desk all day. This role rewards people who like being outside, moving, meeting people.
  • You can read a room. Some owners want numbers first. Some want trust first. You should be able to tell the difference in the first ninety seconds.
  • You're organised enough to remember which salon you visited Tuesday and what they said — without being told to write it down.
  • You have a two-wheeler or can commute independently and efficiently across Bengaluru's premium commercial pockets.

Educational background is secondary to temperament here. We've seen sharp commerce graduates fail at this and we've seen people with no business degree at all become our best field talent. What we actually screen for is comfort with rejection, curiosity about how small businesses think, and basic spoken fluency in English and Kannada or Hindi.

What you will not be doing

To be direct, because vague job posts waste everyone's time:

  • You will not be making cold calls off a purchased list with no context. Every call has a reason behind it.
  • You will not be asked to oversell or misrepresent the partnership terms to close faster. We would rather lose a deal than lose trust in a zone.
  • You will not be deskbound. If you wanted an office-only role, this isn't the one.
Compensation

Fixed monthly stipend/salary based on experience level (Intern vs. Executive), plus a performance incentive on every partner you help bring on board — tied directly to signed agreements, not vanity metrics like calls made or meetings booked. We believe the person closest to the result should be paid closest to the result.

Full structure shared transparently at the interview stage — no surprises, no fine print.

Growth path

This is deliberately structured as an entry point, not a dead end. Strong performers in this role have a direct line of sight to running their own zone, training new field hires, or moving into partner account management as Emilio's Bengaluru footprint expands into Whitefield, HSR Layout, and beyond. We promote based on signed partnerships and pipeline discipline — not tenure.

How to apply

Send your CV and two lines on why field sales over a desk role appeals to you specifically. If you've ever sold anything door-to-door, run a college fest sponsorship drive, or talked your way into a discount a shopkeeper didn't initially want to give — mention it. We read for evidence of hustle, not just credentials.

  • Emilio Beaufort International is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate candidates on judgement, discipline, and field readiness — not on pedigree.
