Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the business development team in identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and building strong client relationships. You will gain hands-on experience in the full sales cyclefrom market research to closing dealsand contribute to the company's growth.
Must-have Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and achieve revenue targets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
- Cold calling proficiency with strong verbal communication and objection-handling.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities to maintain long-term client connections.
- Analytical mindset to understand client needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Good to have:
- Familiarity with CRM tools or sales tracking systems.
- Basic understanding of B2B sales or marketing strategies.
- Exposure to client-facing roles or internship experience in business development.
Qualification:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing business development strategies to achieve growth targets.
- Identify and research potential clients, markets, and industries to generate new leads.
- Conduct cold calling to generate leads and qualify prospects from targeted lists.
- Build and manage relationships with clients, understanding their business needs.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings between clients and internal teams.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs tailored to client requirements.
- Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends and opportunities.
- Represent the company at networking events and industry conferences.
- Negotiate terms and pricing to ensure mutually beneficial client agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and regularly update management.
- Contribute to client retention by identifying upselling and repeat business opportunities.
