Statiq was born with the idea of making sustainable transportation a reality in developing countries. It is a new-age start-up, leading the EV movement in India, by setting up chargers across the country. Statiq was named as one of the top 3 most promising start-ups by NASSCOM in the year 2020, it was the same year we got selected for Y Combinator, a Silicon Valley based accelerator program.
About the Role:
We are looking for proactive professionals to support regional expansion across key cities including Hyderabad and Kochi. This role focuses on identifying both strategic highway corridors and prime urban locations—such as malls, commercial complexes, retail hubs, and tech parks—to build strong local partnerships and drive site acquisition. You will work closely with internal teams, property owners, and local stakeholders to accelerate deployment and strengthen Statiq's charging network across these regions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify high-potential urban locations (commercial complexes, retail hubs, tech parks) alongside strategic highways and transit corridors for EV charging deployment.
- Conduct on-ground site visits, feasibility checks, and traffic/footfall assessments for both city and highway locations.
- Engage and negotiate with landowners, facility managers, developers, and local stakeholders to secure viable sites.
- Drive end-to-end site acquisition, commercial leasing, and partnership closures across urban and inter-city networks.
- Coordinate with internal teams (legal, technical, execution) to ensure timely documentation and deployment.
- Maintain structured pipeline tracking, market mapping, and reporting for identified opportunities.
- Build strong local networks to continuously source high-quality locations.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of experience in Business Development, field sales, commercial leasing, or land acquisition.
- Strong understanding of local markets with existing networks in urban real estate or commercial sectors.
- Must own a personal vehicle (four-wheeler preferred) and be open to frequent intra-city and inter-city travel.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience in land acquisition, space leasing, or B2B sales is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently with high ownership in a fast-paced environment.
