Job Description

Job Purpose: To drive revenue growth through the acquisition of new customers and the retention of existing clients for seal FCL and LCL services. This role requires developing marketing strategies, fostering strong customer relationships, and collaborating with operations to ensure service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new customers for sea FCL and LCL services through targeted outreach and relationship-building.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their specific needs and preferences.
  • Prospect for new clients, generate leads, and develop sales strategies to grow the customer base.
  • Analyse client needs and develops customized sea freight solutions that meet their requirements, considering factors like cost, transit time, and service level.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Work closely with internal operational teams (e.g. pricing, operations, documentation) to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Address customer concerns promptly and collaborate with operations to provide effective

solutions.

  • Ensure adherence to international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, track key performance indicators, and report on sales

performance.

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new clients in the freight forwarding sector
  • Secure customer generated revenues and serve as the main entry point for ocean freight both internally and externally.
  • Ensure follow-up of the sale until the payment and may need to take part in the commercial

management and settlement of claims and litigations.

  • Prepare regular sales reports detailing revenue growth, new customer acquisition, and pipeline status.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales conversion rates, revenue per client, and customer retention.
  • Present monthly and quarterly performance reviews to senior management.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Experience in sales, preferably in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Understanding of sea freight logistics, shipping regulations, and supply chain operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Graduate from a recognised university experience with 5 to 8 years of experience in same

field.
