About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and technically inclined Business Development & Technical Sales Executive to drive sales and customer acquisition in the water treatment sector. The candidate will be responsible for generating leads, understanding customer plant requirements, preparing technical proposals, and driving from inquiry to sale closure.

The role involves selling water treatment plant solutions, automation products such as PLCs and Flowmeters, and promoting ByteFlyt's subscription-based platform for online plant monitoring, analytics, and remote equipment control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Lead Generation
  • Generate and qualify leads in the water treatment and industrial utility sector.
  • Identify potential customers including industries, commercial facilities, STP/ETP operators, and plant contractors.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to generate repeat business.
  • Plant Survey & Requirement Analysis
  • Visit customer sites to analyze existing plant setups and operational requirements.
  • Conduct surveys and gather technical data required for system recommendations.
  • Understand plant issues and suggest suitable automation and monitoring solutions.
  • Proposal Preparation & Sales Closure
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals based on customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal technical teams for BOM (Bill of Materials), pricing, and solution design.
  • Present solutions to clients and handle negotiations.
  • Drive opportunities from lead stage to successful closure.
  • Product & Solution Sales

Promote and sell:

  • Water treatment plant solutions
  • PLC systems and industrial automation products
  • Flowmeters and instrumentation
  • Plant monitoring and control systems
  • ByteFlyt subscription platform for:
  • Online plant monitoring
  • Analytics and reporting
  • Remote equipment control
  • Predictive maintenance insights
  • Client Coordination & Execution Support
  • Coordinate with clients during project execution and commissioning stages.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and support post-sales activities where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in water treatment, industrial automation, or related sectors.
  • Understanding of STP/ETP/WTP systems and plant operations.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, flowmeters, sensors, and industrial instrumentation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prepare proposals and manage client discussions independently.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and site surveys.
  • Self-motivated with a target-driven mindset.

Experience in technical sales or field operations in the water industry is preferred.
