Business Development Executive (Upwork & Freelance Platforms)

Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (On-site)

Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years

Industry Focus: AR/VR, XR, Immersive Technologies, Enterprise Digital Transformation

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive with mandatory

experience in generating leads and winning projects through Upwork and other freelancing platforms such as Freelancer, Fiverr, Guru, PeoplePerHour, and similar marketplaces.

The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in freelancing platform bidding, lead generation, proposal writing, profile optimization, and client acquisition. The candidate should be capable of identifying, qualifying, and securing opportunities in AR, VR, MR, XR, AI, 3D Visualization, Digital

Twin, and Software Development domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Lead Generation

·       Identify and bid on relevant projects across Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, Guru, and other freelancing platforms.

·       Research potential clients and understand project requirements.

·       Generate qualified leads and schedule discovery calls with prospects.

·       Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities.

Requirement Understanding

·       Analyze project requirements and client needs.

·       Coordinate with technical teams to understand project scope, effort, and feasibility.

·       Translate client requirements into clear project understanding documents.

Proposal Writing & Submission

·       Prepare customized and compelling proposals tailored to client requirements.

·       Highlight company capabilities, case studies, and relevant experience.

·       Follow up with clients to maximize response rates and conversions.

·       Handle project discussions and initial negotiations.

Profile & Account Optimization

·       Optimize company profiles on Upwork, Freelancer, Fiverr, and other platforms.

·       Improve profile visibility, rankings, and conversion rates.

·       Maintain portfolios, project descriptions, case studies, and service offerings.

·       Continuously update profiles with recent work and client success stories.

Connect & Bid Strategy Management

·       Strategically manage Upwork Connects and bidding budgets.

·       Identify high-conversion opportunities.

·       Track proposal performance and optimize bidding strategies.

·       Monitor platform trends and algorithm changes.

CRM & Reporting

·       Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, follow-ups, and project status.

·       Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports.

·       Track key metrics including proposal-to-interview ratio, win rate, and revenue generated.

Required Skills

·       Mandatory 2+ years of hands-on experience with Upwork and/or other freelancing platforms (Freelancer, Fiverr, Guru, PeoplePerHour, etc.).

·       Proven track record of winning projects through freelancing platforms.

·       Strong understanding of project bidding and lead generation.

·       Excellent requirement gathering and analysis skills.

·       Strong proposal writing and communication skills.

·       Experience optimizing profiles for higher visibility and conversion.

·       Knowledge of Upwork Connect management and bidding strategies.

·       Strong English written and verbal communication.

·       Ability to work independently and achieve revenue targets.

 

Preferred Experience

Experience selling services related to:

·       AR/VR/MR/XR Development

·       AI & Machine Learning Solutions

·       Digital Twin Development

·       Unity Development

·       Unreal Engine Development

·       3D Modeling & Visualization

·       Mobile & Web Application Development

Experience working with international clients from the USA, Europe, Australia, or the

Middle East.
