  • Working knowledge of the Indian hiring and staffing landscape
  • Confidence speaking with HR leaders and agency founders without a script

Renate is Looking for: Business Development Executive

The Role As a Business Development Executive at Renate, you will own the closing motion end-to-end. This is not a lead-generation seat. A dedicated research intern maps your targets daily company name, number of live openings, HR decision-maker contact, LinkedIn, email, and WhatsApp. You wake up to a pre-qualified pipeline every morning. Your job is to get in front of those decision-makers, show them what Renate does on their actual open roles, and close the deal ideally the same day. You will report directly to the founder and own each new client relationship for the first 30 days.

Your Impact

  • Reach out to HR leaders and staffing-agency founders via LinkedIn voice notes, WhatsApp, email, and calls
  • Run live product demos using the client's real open roles
  • Handle objections in real time and drive every conversation to a definitive yes or no
  • Close deals same day where possible and follow up relentlessly on every active conversation
  • Own the first 30 days of each new client relationship end-to-end
  • Track every interaction in a shared sheet reviewed daily with the founder
  • Feed real customer signals back to the product team to sharpen go-to-market

What You Bring

  • A track record of having closed something a product, a service, a deal and the judgment to know the difference between interested and signed
  • Ability to hold a real conversation with senior HR leaders and agency founders without leaning on a script
  • Genuine understanding of the Indian hiring landscape what staffing agencies do, why HR teams are overwhelmed, why evaluation is broken at scale
  • High ownership, high speed, and comfort with ambiguity
  • Resilience to hear no 15 times before getting a yes
  • Mumbai-based or willing to relocate immediately

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in HR tech, SaaS, or recruitment-adjacent products
  • Exposure to MENA markets or Gulf-region hiring
  • Experience selling to staffing agencies or in-house TA leaders
  • Background in an early-stage startup (employees #1 to #20)
