Description
The Business Development Executive supports the growth of HFSE Global Education Group by identifying business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and increasing enrolment and participation across the Group's schools, student care services, and educational programmes. The role works closely with Management, Admissions, Marketing, and Academic teams to develop opportunities that align with the Group's mission, service capacity, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Growth
- Identify and pursue opportunities for student enrolment, programme participation, institutional partnerships, and additional revenue.
- Develop and implement business development activities aligned with approved growth plans.
- Assess opportunities for new programmes, services, markets, and referral channels.
- Prepare business proposals outlining potential benefits, costs, resource requirements, and expected outcomes for Management's review.
2. Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain relationships with companies, community organisations, education providers, relocation agencies, and other potential partners.
- Develop referral arrangements, corporate education packages, and collaborative initiatives, subject to Management's approval.
- Coordinate partnership discussions, proposals, agreements, and follow-up activities.
- Monitor partnership outcomes and recommend improvements to strengthen collaboration.
3. Lead Generation and Enrolment Support
- Generate qualified leads through outreach, networking, referrals, events, and approved campaigns.
- Understand prospective families and partners needs and recommend suitable HFSE services.
- Work with Admissions to ensure timely follow-up and a smooth handover of prospective students and families.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, leads, opportunities, and follow-up actions in the designated system.
- Track lead progression and identify opportunities to improve conversion.
4. Market Research and Planning
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor offerings, and potential demand for educational services.
- Gather feedback from prospective families and partners to support programme and service improvements.
- Provide recommendations on market positioning, outreach priorities, and growth opportunities.
- Support the preparation of business development plans and budgets.
5. Marketing and Events Collaboration
- Coordinate with Marketing to develop campaigns, presentations, and promotional materials for target audiences.
- Support open houses, education fairs, school visits, networking activities, and partnership events.
- Represent the Group professionally at approved meetings and external activities.
- Ensure communications accurately reflect approved programmes, fees, admission requirements, and services.
6. Reporting and Internal Coordination
- Submit regular reports on outreach activities, leads, conversions, partnerships, revenue opportunities, and progress against agreed targets.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to confirm service capacity and operational readiness before making commitments.
- Maintain complete records of proposals, agreements, and business development activities.
- Escalate challenges and risks promptly, with practical recommendations.
- Perform other related duties assigned by Management.
Qualification and Selection Criteria
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Education Management, or a related discipline.
- Candidates with equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
- Preferably at least two years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, account management, or student recruitment.
- Experience in education, student care, enrichment, training, or other service-based industries is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, manage relationships, and achieve agreed targets.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify business opportunities and prepare clear, practical proposals.
- Good understanding of lead management, customer engagement, and sales conversion.
- Ability to conduct market research and interpret performance data.
- Strong organisational skills, with consistent and timely follow-through.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with customer relationship management or lead-tracking systems.
- Ability to learn and accurately explain the Group's educational programmes, services, and admission requirements.
