Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Development Executive with a minimum of 2 years experience in the Indian pharmaceutical industry, specifically in formulation business development, to drive growth in the domestic market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand business in the Indian formulation pharma market with a proven track record in new business generation, client handling, and achievement of sales targets.
- Must have experience in developing business for contract manufacturing.
- Handle business development for tablets, capsules, dry syrups, inhalers, and sachets.
- Develop and manage business for contract manufacturing, third-party manufacturing (P2P), and loan license opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with pharma marketing companies, distributors, and institutional clients.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, R&D, and Regulatory teams for smooth execution of orders.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, agreements, and documentation.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Attend client meetings, exhibitions, and industry events across India.
- Maintain MIS reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy / Life Sciences / Business (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of mandatory experience in Business Development / Marketing within the Indian formulation pharma industry.
- Mandatory experience in tablets, capsules, dry syrups, inhalers, and sachets etc.
- Strong understanding of pricing, costing, and margins structures.
- Knowledge of DCGI / State FDA regulations (preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within India.
