About The Opportunity
A fast-growing player in the FMCG and Agri-Exports sector, we specialize in premium Basmati rice distribution across domestic and international markets. Our team drives B2B sales, onboards institutional buyers, and builds long-term trade partnerships—leveraging deep market insights, agile execution, and a customer-first approach to dominate the premium rice category in India and beyond.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and convert new B2B clients (hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, exporters) across Mumbai and Maharashtra.
- Conduct regular field visits, pitch product value propositions, and negotiate volume-based pricing and payment terms.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring repeat orders and long-term loyalty.
- Track sales pipeline, forecast monthly targets, and submit weekly performance reports to the sales manager.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations to ensure timely delivery and resolve post-sale issues.
- Participate in trade fairs, product demos, and industry events to expand brand visibility and lead generation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have
- Proficiency in MS Excel for sales tracking and reporting
- Experience in B2B sales or business development (even 6 months counts)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Working knowledge of CRM tools (e.g. Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Excellent communication in English & Hindi (or local language)
- Valid driver's license and personal two-wheeler for field travel
- Ability to handle objections and persist in a target-driven environment
- Comfortable with daily field visits across Mumbai and suburbs
- Preferred
- Background in FMCG, food & beverage, or agri-business sales
- Experience managing trade accounts or institutional buyers
- Familiarity with export documentation or international client servicing
