Job Description |: Business Development Executive / B2B Sales
Job Title: Business Development Executive / B2B Sales
Key responsibilities
· Generate new B2B sales leads through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, emails, exhibitions, referrals, networking, site visits, and corporate outreach.
· Identify and connect with key decision makers in corporates, event companies, gift studios, modern retail stores and other potential business channels.
· Introduce, explain and present The Messy Corner products and services to prospective clients through calls, meetings, product demos and presentations.
· Schedule and attend field visits, client meetings, product launches, networking events, and exhibitions in the MMR region and other locations as required.
· Understand client requirements and coordinate with internal teams to create suitable proposals, quotations and gifting solutions.
· Convert leads into sales opportunities, negotiate pricing, protect business margins, and work towards successful deal closures.
· Manage existing clients, maintain strong relationships, follow up for repeat orders, and drive referrals from satisfied customers.
· Take responsibility for expanding and managing offline sales opportunities across corporate, retail, gifting and event segments.
· Coordinate closely with the design, operations, sales and accounts teams to ensure product feasibility, timely delivery, and quality service.
· Maintain and regularly update customer databases, call records, lead trackers, CRM and relevant sales sheets.
· Submit weekly pipeline updates, MIS reports, sales progress reports, and customer feedback to the management.
· Track competitor activities, share market insights, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
Desired Candidate Profile
· Sales & Business Development Experience - Candidate should have 2- 4 years of experience in sales, business development, client acquisition, pitching, negotiation, and deal closure.
· Strong Communication & Presentation Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to confidently present product offerings, understand client requirements, and create strong sales pitches.
· Retail, Reseller & Corporate Sales Focus - Should actively identify opportunities to place products in retail stores, gifting studios, reseller networks, corporates, and event gifting channels, including season-based product offerings.
· Client & Vendor Relationship Management - Responsible for managing client relationships, vendor coordination, payment cycles, repeat orders, after-sales support, and ensuring smooth communication with internal and external stakeholders.
· Order Processing & Coordination - Should be able to manage end-to-end order processing, coordinate with design, operations, and logistics teams, and ensure timely delivery with quality execution.
· Work Attitude & Basic Technical Skills - Must be a quick learner with a go-getter attitude, strong follow-up discipline, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office.
