Job Description
Position: Area Sales Manager
Industry: Medical Devices / Healthcare
Reporting To: National Sales Manager/Chief Operating Officer
Key Responsibilities
* Drive sales growth and achieve business targets for assigned territory.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, doctors, distributors, and channel partners.
* Identify new business opportunities in government and private healthcare sectors.
* Conduct product demonstrations, clinical discussions, and customer presentations.
* Manage distributor performance, inventory, secondary sales, and collections.
* Execute marketing and promotional activities to increase product visibility and market penetration.
* Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments.
* Prepare sales forecasts, territory plans, and periodic business reports.
* Coordinate with service, application, and logistics teams for smooth customer support.
* Ensure timely tender participation and institutional business development where applicable.
Required Skills
* Strong sales and negotiation skills.
* Good understanding of medical devices and hospital procurement processes.
* Relationship management and customer handling expertise.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Ability to work independently and achieve aggressive sales targets.
* Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
Qualification & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, or related field.
* MBA in Marketing preferred.
* 3–8 years of experience in medical device or healthcare sales.
* Experience in handling hospital sales, distributors, and institutional business preferred.
