**About Decentro**

Decentro is a Y-Combinator backed banking & payments infrastructure company. Decentro provides building blocks that help companies stitch their fintech workflows in a few weeks. While starting our first fintech venture back in 2014, we spent years convincing banks to partner with us. Before we could launch our fintech product (more here), we had to convince different departments within banks - including technology, business, leadership, legal, and support to get the green signal. Fast forward to today, we realise that banks & regulatory institutions find it difficult to help the longer tail of companies build innovative & compliant fintech solutions.

What if there was a platform (think AWS for cloud or Twilio for messaging) that abstracts the complexities of banking, identity, payments, lending, and provides simple APIs so that companies do not have to spend years dealing with banks

We're solving this pain point at Decentro since 2020. We've scaled to process $4 billion + in payment volumes & have 1400+ customers across India & Singapore in multiple verticals such as marketplaces, banks, regulated institutions, fintechs, lenders, gaming, and more.

**What is expected from you -**

This role focuses on driving growth across Chennai and Tamil Nadu and requires strong regional market familiarity.

• Identify, prospect, and onboard new clients from Chennai and Tamil Nadu for key fintech solutions offered by Decentro.

Develop and execute local go-to-market strategies and partnership models with large, mid-market, and regulated institutions.

Build relationships with key decision makers in NBFCs, fintechs, startups, and channel partners.

Represent Decentro at local networking events, industry forums, and relevant conferences in the Chennai region.

Collaborate with the central GTM and product teams to drive localization and compliance efforts.

Conduct market research and competitive intelligence for emerging business opportunities in the region.

Support customer onboarding, product demos, and account management as required.

**What are we looking for -**

Proficiency in Tamil (spoken and written) and English, with strong understanding of the regional business landscape. Based in Chennai or willing to operate extensively across Tamil Nadu.

Minimum 34 years of hands-on experience in SaaS, payments, fintech, banking, or B2B sales/partnerships, ideally within a high-growth or API-driven product environment.

Proven track record of building pipelines, driving partnerships, and closing revenue-generating deals with mid-market and enterprise clients.

Strong consultative selling ability, capable of identifying customer pain points and mapping them to API-first fintech solutions.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills in Tamil and English, both written and spoken.

Highly proactive and entrepreneurial, comfortable owning targets, running experiments, and operating in a fast-paced, product-led organisation.

Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
