Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Category Manager role based in Bengaluru. The Category Manager will oversee end-to-end performance of assigned service categories, including assortment planning, pricing, and margin optimization. Daily responsibilities include analyzing category data and customer insights, monitoring key performance metrics, and implementing initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and service quality. The role involves working closely with procurement, sales, operations, and marketing teams to design category strategies, manage vendor relationships, and improve service offerings. The Category Manager will also support contractual negotiations with partners, run experiments to improve category performance, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a consistent and superior customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Category Management skills, including portfolio planning, pricing strategy, and performance optimization.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, build dashboards, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation and Procurement skills to manage supplier relationships and secure favorable terms.
  • Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to drive category growth, support partner acquisition, and collaborate on revenue initiatives.
  • Candidates should have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Candidates should have proven experience in category management, business operations, or consulting; experience in consumer services or marketplaces is an advantage.
  • Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, economics, or a related field; a postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) is beneficial.
  • Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, comfort with fast-paced environments, and ownership-oriented working style.
