Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Business Development Executive. The role focuses on driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline, and converting prospects into long-term clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and target potential clients through cold outreach, networking, referrals, inbound leads, and market research
- Build and maintain a consistent, high-quality pipeline of qualified prospects across key industries and segments
Sales Pitching & Proposal Development
- Understand client requirements, marketing objectives, and business challenges to craft tailored solutions
- Create compelling pitch decks, proposals, and presentations aligned with client goals and budgets
- Present agency capabilities confidently and handle objections effectively during sales discussions
Client Acquisition & Conversion
- Own the complete sales cycle from initial outreach to negotiation and deal closure
- Drive conversions by building trust, demonstrating value, and positioning the agency as a strategic partner
- Ensure smooth onboarding and handover to internal teams post-closure
Revenue & Performance Management
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Track sales metrics, pipeline health, and conversion rates; regularly report performance insights to leadership
- Continuously optimize sales strategies to improve efficiency and results
Market Research & Opportunity Mapping
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and evolving client needs
- Identify new business opportunities, untapped markets, and potential service expansions
Relationship Management & Growth
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients to drive retention, repeat business, and referrals
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services
- Act as a key point of contact for clients during the pre-sales and early engagement stages
Collaboration & Internal Alignment
- Work closely with marketing, strategy, and delivery teams to align on client requirements and ensure seamless execution
- Share market feedback and client insights to refine service offerings and positioning
