Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based out of Chennai for a Business Development Associate/Representative specialising in Engineering & IT Solutions. The role involves identifying and generating leads, conducting thorough market research, creating and delivering impactful presentations, and effectively communicating with stakeholders to drive growth opportunities. The individual will collaborate closely with the sales and technical teams to develop tailored solutions for clients and achieve business objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Revenue Generation: Drive end-to-end sales cycles from strategic prospecting to closing high-value software and service contracts.
- Strategic Growth: Penetrate key sectors including AEC, Manufacturing, and Infrastructure.
- Consultative Selling: Pivot between software product sales and complex engineering service solutions.
- Account Leadership: Manage and scale relationships with C-suite executives and Technical Leads.
- Self-Production: Proactively build a robust pipeline through independent market research, networking, and cold outreach.
Requirements
- Background: 25 years of proven success in Engineering, Engineering Software (CAD/BIM/PLM) or IT/ITES sales.
- Technical Savvy: General understanding of AEC workflows, Digital Twins, or VDC is highly preferred.
- Communication: Elite presentation and negotiation skills, ability to articulate ROI to stakeholders.
- Mindset: A Hunter mentality with the discipline of an MNC professional.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Presentation Preparation and Delivery
- Proficiency in Lead Generation techniques and Market Research
- Effective verbal and written Communication skills
- Ability to analyse market trends and identify business opportunities
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of building strong client relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or a related field from a recognised institution
- Experience in Engineering or IT solutions is an added advantage
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales methodologies is a plus
