We're looking for a Business Development Associate who understands the PR ecosystem or brings a strong network within the communications and brand space.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities within the PR, media, startup, and brand ecosystem
- Leverage existing relationships to initiate and convert leads
- Support end-to-end business developmentfrom prospecting and pitching to closures
- Collaborate with PR and digital teams to create insight-led proposals
- Track leads, follow-ups, and conversions with ownership and discipline
- Represent JBC in client meetings, pitches, and industry conversations
What We're Looking For
- 35 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Acquisition (PR agency experience preferred) OR exceptional industry reach and relationships in PR, media, brands, startups, or founders.
- Strong understanding of PR retainers, scopes of work, and agency models
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with high ownership
