Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Associate role based in Chennai. The Business Development Associate will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, including conducting market research, prospecting, and lead generation across target segments. The role involves preparing and delivering compelling presentations and demos to potential partners, institutions, and corporate clients. The associate will nurture and manage relationships through regular communication, follow-ups, and coordination with internal teams to support proposals, pricing, and contract processes. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records in CRM tools, tracking sales metrics, and providing feedback to marketing and product teams to refine offerings and go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders and clearly articulate value propositions.
  • Effective presentation skills and experience creating and delivering professional presentations.
  • Proven experience or strong aptitude in lead generation and prospecting for new business opportunities.
  • Ability to conduct structured market research, analyze trends, and translate insights into actionable business development strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or inside sales (education/edtech or technology sectors are a plus).
  • Comfort working with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic sales reporting.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
