Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior BI Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI, MySQL, MSSQL, and a deep understanding of Finance and FP&A processes. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Finance and leadership teams to deliver high-impact dashboards, insights, and financial analytics to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for Finance and FP&A teams.

2. Build and optimize data models using DAX, Power Query, and BI best practices.

3. Extract, transform, and manage data from MySQL and MS SQL Server databases.

4. Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and transformations for financial reporting.

5. Support FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, headcount analysis, and profitability reporting.

6. Translate business requirements from Finance into scalable BI solutions and analytical data models.

7. Ensure high levels of data accuracy, validation, and governance across financial datasets.

8. Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and FP&A teams to understand business processes, KPIs, and reporting needs.

9. Provide actionable insights to Finance leadership through clear visualizations and data storytelling.

10. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in financial reporting processes and recommend BI-driven improvements.

11. Automate recurring financial reports and manual data processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.

12. Document BI models, datasets, logic, and workflows for transparency and future reference.

13. Work with cross-functional teams to align on data structures, business rules, and KPI definitions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. 8+ years of experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.

2. Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Data Modeling).

3. Advanced SQL skills in MySQL and MS SQL Server databases.

4. Solid understanding of Finance and FP&A concepts, including budgeting, forecasting, margin analysis, variance analysis, and financial KPIs.

5. Strong business understanding with ability to translate financial needs into BI solutions.

6. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

7. Ability to partner with CFO, FP&A, and Finance teams effectively.

8. Experience in a fast-paced environment with end-to-end BI ownership
