The Opportunity

Are you ready to drive the strategic architecture and tactical enablement of our Demand-to-Pay processes, unlocking continuous improvement and seamless digital adoption As our Business Capability Lead for SAP based in Mumbai/Pune, India, you will play a critical role in designing, managing, and governing our system processes. Operating at the intersection of strategic design and tactical execution, you will champion continuous improvement and drive the strategy for our key SAP solution.

  • Reporting Line: The position directly reports to Procurement Operations Lead and is part of the wider Procurement Center of Excellence (CoE).

  • Wider team and stakeholders: Works closely with the DOP Leadership Team, DOP Delivery, Category teams, RSS Demand-to-Pay, Global Procurement, and external providers. You will also lead the Business Capability Community formed by SMEs and represent DOP in Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

  • Role Type: A senior strategic and tactical individual contributor role focused on global process ownership, governance, and change management.

  • Impact: You have a key, measurable impact on departmental efficiency and compliance (e.g., cycle times). Specifically, you are accountable for:

    • Process Management: Acting as a deep Subject Matter Expert (SME) for business processes and systems, elaborating design options to resolve system, perfo mance, and data concerns while shaping the overall vision and strategy.

    • System Strategy & Projects: Developing and deploying the DOP strategy for assigned solutions SAP and acting as a responsible delegate on global projects (e.g., Aspire), ensuring successful template adoption and managing change impacts.

    • Continuous Improvement & Change Management: Proactively identifying and driving automation and digitalization opportunities. Acting as a change agent to escalate improvement areas, driving global requirements alignment, and partnering across functions to implement optimized End-to-End solutions.

    • Governance & Analytics: Supporting delegated data and rules definition for global data. Serving as the primary enterprise reporting SME to advise senior leadership on maximizing ERP and SAP S/4HANA analytics to solve complex problems.

    • Knowledge Management: Developing and maintaining global system process documentation and comprehensive training materials.

Who you are

We look for a positive, self-reflecting change agent with an entrepreneurial Can-Do attitude, a clear focus on End-to-End perspectives, and the ability to work in a self-organized manner.

  • Education: A University degree with a business or life sciences focus is required. A Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) and CIPS certification (or equivalent) are highly preferred.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience (standard SE7 benchmark), with deep expertise in the design, management, and continuous improvement of business processes, particularly within the Procure-to-Pay domain. Experience working with/within a third party service provider set up is highly desirable.

  • Systems Expertise: Deep expert knowledge of procurement processes and systems, specifically SAP S/4HANA, along with a strong understanding of the broader procurement system and provider landscape.

  • Analytics & Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic business goals into effective metrics, KPIs, and data structures.

  • Change & Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of proactive stakeholder and change management. You possess excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills to navigate competing priorities and foster an open, collaborative speak-up/error culture.

  • Languages: Business-level fluency in English is required German language skills are preferable.
