Role Description The Business Banking Relationship Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The role involves managing and growing a portfolio of business banking clients by understanding their financial needs and offering appropriate banking products and services. Responsibilities include maintaining strong client relationships, cross-selling business banking solutions, and overseeing cash management, credit facilities, and other transactional services. The position also involves assessing financial performance of clients, coordinating underwriting and credit approvals, and monitoring portfolio risk and profitability. The Business Banking Relationship Manager collaborates with internal teams to ensure high service standards, timely resolution of client issues, and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Business Relationship Management skills, with the ability to build, maintain, and expand profitable client relationships.
  • Candidates should possess expertise in Cash Management and transactional banking solutions for business clients.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Portfolio Management and Finance, with a focus on credit risk, profitability, and asset quality.
  • Candidates should possess solid Underwriting skills, including financial analysis, credit appraisal, and documentation review.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications in banking or credit are an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in business banking or corporate banking, preferably in managing small and medium enterprise (SME) clients.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet targets, and comply with regulatory and internal policies.
