Primary Responsibilities (What you'll do)

The role will reside within the Internal Audit's Finance audit team in Mumbai. The role includes audit completion within the firm's Finance organization including Financial and Regulatory Reporting Controllers, Accounting Standards and Control, Financial Planning & Strategy, and Corporate Tax. The person in the role will assist the Asia Finance audit team in completing its annual audit plan, audit test design and execution, identifying areas requiring control enhancements, providing recommendations for control improvements and undertaking continuous monitoring of key business activities. Audited functions include Finance Regulatory Reporting, Financial Accounting and related Policies, Valuations, Tax and Product Controllers etc., in coordination with the established IA teams responsible for coverage of Risk, Finance, Technology and the respective business divisions.

• Provide audit coverage in Finance audits participating in risk assessments, audit planning, testing and reporting.
• Participate in the periodic continuous monitoring of Finance activities, data gathering, analyze and provide assistance in risk assessments.
• Assist Auditor in Charge in developing audit planning documents, test programs and execute against plans within specified budgets.
• Communicate audit findings to senior team members like Audit Coverage Managers and Auditor in Charge, as required.
• Identify and evaluate key risks surrounding Finance Regulatory Reporting and other Core Finance process.
• Create and execute test procedures to assess the designated control environment, and clearly document results in line with internal documentation standards.
• Participate in initiatives and projects to enhance our Audit approach and coverage.

What you'll bring to the role:

• Understanding of business line and key regulations relevant to coverage area
• Strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools, and processes (e.g., risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting and continuous monitoring)
• Functional or Audit experience around Asia, US and/ or UK Finance Regulatory Reports such as Capital Adequacy, ICAAP, Financial Statements or exposure in Finance regulatory reports is a plus
• Ability to identify and analyze multiple data sources to inform point of view
• Ability to ask meaningful questions, understand various viewpoints and adapt messaging accordingly
• A commitment to practicing inclusive behaviors
• At least 6 years relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
• Good understanding of the operation of financial markets, financial instruments and strategies, business drivers specific to the Institutional line of business, and the associated regulatory environment.
• CA / CIA / CFA / FRM / CAMS certifications would be a plus

7.Must have skillset - Be able to understand Financial Statements and be able to understand Finance risks

8.Good to have skillset - Is having a Finance certification and exposure to Internal audit
