Role Purpose

The role entails testing compliances to applicable laws and regulations that govern the business and providing an assurance to the management on the same. The profile will be responsible for auditing/testing the functions on adherence to regulatory requirements and the controls thereof.

The responsibilities we entrust you with

  • Formulate and execute a compliance assurance plan that includes regulatory risks and ensure compliance to applicable laws, regulations and policies.
  • Create an assurance framework and implement assurance appropriate procedure that provide assurance to senior management.
  • Perform risk based assurance testing for multiple functions within organisation, focusing on regulatory and statutorycompliances, internal compliances and business process review to highlight non-compliance and process gaps/deficiencies
  • Carry out monthly assurance of organisation level compliance programmes.
  • Correlate business risks and priorities with Compliance assurance plan to enhance effectiveness of the programme
  • Highlight and discuss the issues/observations with concerned functional stakeholders and to agree on appropriate action plan, ensuring that they understand the issues and their ownership of compliance.
  • Prepare assurance reports and share the same with the concerned function leader in a timely manner
  • Follow-up and ensure closure of issues/observations identified with review of corrective action taken by business/function
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including Senior Management, function stakeholders for simplification and process improvements.
  • Proactively identify potential non compliance and control gaps and suggest ways for process improvements.
  • Present the review results, the rationale of findings, risks posed and action required to address the risks to senior management and committees.
  • Provide input to the risk assessment of business unit/functions for inclusion in their first line monitoring programme
  • Interpret internal policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations that impact the business unit/function and implement changes if required.
  • Scan the market to identify industry best practices in assurance and analyze feasibility of adoption within the business.

What matters in this role

  1. 3 to 7 years of experience in business process reviews, internal audit, compliance & testing with audit background
  2. CA/CIA/MBA Finance with related Assurance training/certification preferred
  3. Understanding of the regulatory and statutory compliances applicable to business
  4. Analytical ability, Detail orientation, Problem solving skills, process orientation
