Business Analytics Manager

Role Summary:

This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end analytics solutions that translate complex business questions into clear, actionable insights. The individual works closely with client stakeholders, manages analytics teams, and data engineers to define analytical use cases, ensure high-quality data foundations, and build scalable models and dashboards. With a strong focus on solving analytical use case and client-ready storytelling, the role supports informed decision-making across business functions, drives efficiency and growth opportunities, and acts as a trusted analytics partner throughout ongoing client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Analytics & Insight Generation

• Develop clear, concise, and actionable analytical solutions and recommendations to address client business needs.
• Work closely with client business and analytics teams to translate business problems into well-defined analytical use cases.
• Perform in-depth business analysis on structured and semi-structured data to uncover trends, drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Proactively explore the client's business context to identify opportunities for process efficiency, cost optimization, and acceleration of growth, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Create analytical models in collaboration with client teams and recommend new analyses on existing datasets to enhance decision-making.
• Provide thought leadership on analytical approaches, methodologies, and interpretation of results across ongoing engagements.

2. Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management

• Partner closely with client business and technical stakeholders to understand project objectives, success criteria, and constraints.
• Act as a trusted analytics advisor, coordinating effectively across onsite, offshore, and client teams.
• Interact with client stakeholders on a daily and weekly basis to gather requirements, provide progress updates, and present insights.
• Communicate complex analytical findings in a structured, business-friendly manner through presentations and executive-ready PowerPoint decks.

3. Data Engineering & Analytics Enablement

• Work with data engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain reliable data pipelines for accurate data capture, tracking, and reporting.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across analytical solutions and dashboards.
• Contribute to defining scalable and reusable data models, metrics definitions, and reporting frameworks.
• Ensure analytics solutions are efficient, robust, scalable, and aligned with enterprise data standards.

4. Visualization, Dashboarding & Reporting

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support operational, tactical, and strategic decision-making.
• Translate analytical outputs into intuitive visualizations that clearly communicate insights and business impact.
• Establish best practices for dashboard design, performance optimization, and user adoption.
• Support ongoing enhancement and maintenance of dashboards based on evolving business requirements.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Powerpoint, visualizations and should be hands on creating analytics decks
• Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, dashboard development, and performance tuning will be an added advantage
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and data integration. Experience on Databricks / Azure cloud environments will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with SQL; familiarity with Python or similar analytics languages is an advantage.
• Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple data sources within the Retail and CPG domains

Key Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Postgraduate degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) is preferred.

Professional Experience

• 612+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or analytics consulting roles.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end analytics engagements involving business analysis, data engineering collaboration, and visualization.
• Prior experience working directly with clients or senior business stakeholders is strongly preferred.

Business & Analytical Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous business problems into analytical frameworks.
• Deep understanding of business KPIs, metrics, and performance drivers across functions such as finance, operations, HR, sales, or supply chain.
• Ability to balance analytical rigor with business practicality and decision impact.

Communication & Leadership Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong expertise in creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations.
• Ability to clearly articulate insights, recommendations, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to provide analytical thought leadership and mentor junior team members.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multi-cultural environments.
