Team Coordination: Lead and support a team of business analysts, providing guidance to newer members and ensuring effective collaboration on IT projects.
Client Collaboration: Act as a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers, and technical staff to define, document, and communicate business requirements and expected impacts.
Business Specification Development: Work with clients to develop comprehensive business specifications at the start of technical projects.
Process Improvement: Analyze, plan, design, document, and recommend improvements to business processes to enhance client technology outcomes.
Quality Assurance: Validate that all business requirements are met by reviewing and approving test results.
Data Analysis: Utilize analytical tools like Excel and SQL to quantify the anticipated impact of business initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: 5+ years as a Business Analyst, with 3+ years of Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong understanding of programming concepts, including configuration, development, and batch processing.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and requirement-mapping tools (e.g., Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools).
Analytical & Business Skills:
Strong analytical thinking and business process re-engineering capabilities.
Proven ability to translate client needs into actionable business objectives.
Communication:
Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with business leaders, clients, and technical teams.
Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams to action.
Medicaid/Medicare Systems:
Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), Medicaid claims processing, and adjudication troubleshooting.
Familiarity with DDI (Design, Development, and Implementation) and operations phases.
Additional Skills:
Experience with Requirement Traceability Matrices.
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in fast-paced environments.
Commitment to confidentiality when handling proprietary or sensitive information.
