Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Coordination: Lead and support a team of business analysts, providing guidance to newer members and ensuring effective collaboration on IT projects.
  • Client Collaboration: Act as a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers, and technical staff to define, document, and communicate business requirements and expected impacts.
  • Business Specification Development: Work with clients to develop comprehensive business specifications at the start of technical projects.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze, plan, design, document, and recommend improvements to business processes to enhance client technology outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Validate that all business requirements are met by reviewing and approving test results.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize analytical tools like Excel and SQL to quantify the anticipated impact of business initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: 5+ years as a Business Analyst, with 3+ years of Medicaid and Medicare experience preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong understanding of programming concepts, including configuration, development, and batch processing.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and requirement-mapping tools (e.g., Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools).
  • Analytical & Business Skills:
  • Strong analytical thinking and business process re-engineering capabilities.
  • Proven ability to translate client needs into actionable business objectives.
  • Communication:
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with business leaders, clients, and technical teams.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams to action.
  • Medicaid/Medicare Systems:
  • Experience with Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), Medicaid claims processing, and adjudication troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with DDI (Design, Development, and Implementation) and operations phases.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Experience with Requirement Traceability Matrices.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized in fast-paced environments.
  • Commitment to confidentiality when handling proprietary or sensitive information.
