Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst who can act as a strong bridge between customers and analytics engineering teams. This role focuses on owning requirements, creating clear Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and independently delivering insight-led analysis using SQL and Excel. The ideal candidate is framework-driven, impact-oriented, and comfortable presenting insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead requirement gathering discussions with customers and internal stakeholders.

Translate business problems into clear, structured BRDs for analytics engineers.

Define KPIs, metrics, assumptions, edge cases, and dependencies.

Perform independent analysis using SQL and Excel to answer business questions.

Validate datasets and outputs before dashboard or reporting consumption.

Apply a structured analytical framework to solve problems.

Present insights and recommendations clearly to customers and leadership.

Collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers.

Reduce rework by proactively identifying data gaps and risks.

Support stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis and insights.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Analytics roles.
• Strong experience creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
• 1.5+ years of working knowledge of SQL (CTEs, joins, aggregations, filters).
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
• Ability to independently perform exploratory and validation analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in customer-facing roles.

Good to Have

• Experience working with Analytics or Data Engineering teams.
• Exposure to BI tools or analytics platforms.
• Experience in B2B, Retail, or DTC analytics.
• Prior consulting or stakeholder management experience.
• Experience working with ERP systems like NetSuite.
