About the Role
This is a hybrid role for someone who can translate business needs into clear requirements *and* validate that the delivered product meets them. You'll be the connective tissue between stakeholders, product, and engineering — defining the what, then rigorously testing the how. It's ideal for someone who enjoys both the analytical front end of a project and the quality gate at the end.
What You'll Do
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design, write, and execute test cases and test plans (functional, regression, integration, and UAT).
- Identify, log, and track defects to resolution, working closely with developers to reproduce and verify fixes.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders and sign off on releases.
- Map current- and future-state business processes and recommend improvements.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and delivered features.
- Partner with product owners to refine the backlog and clarify ambiguity before development begins.
- Contribute to test automation strategy and adoption where appropriate.
What You'll Bring (Must-Haves)
- 3+ years of experience spanning business analysis and quality assurance (or a blend of both).
- Strong requirements-elicitation and documentation skills (user stories, BRDs/FRDs, process flows).
- Hands-on experience designing and executing manual test cases across the SDLC.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalents.
- Excellent communication skills — comfortable speaking both business and engineering.
- A meticulous, structured approach and a low tolerance for ambiguity.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in [fintech / banking / payments / regulated environments].
- Exposure to test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) and API testing (Postman).
- Knowledge of BPMN, UML, or formal modeling techniques.
- ISTQB, CBAP, or CCBA certification.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, ESOP's
- Health/benefits, learning budget, hybrid flexibility, etc.
- A high-impact role where your work directly shapes product quality and business outcomes.
