Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Work independently with stakeholders for requirement gathering and elicitation
  • Document complex business and functional requirements clearly and precisely & explain the impact of those requirements in a functional manner to key stakeholders.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into detailed low-level functional requirement documentation
  • Conduct requirement kick-offs, grooming sessions, and walkthroughs with development and QA teams
  • Ensure ownership and validation of delivered functionality from the Master initiative perspective
  • Act as the go-to person for product and project functional understanding in your teams functional area
  • Manage multiple assignments effectively while ensuring proper prioritisation
  • Work closely with the Product Manager to understand, refine, and maintain the product backlog
  • Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively

Skills and Experience | Essential

  • 4+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Experience conducting requirement kick-off sessions and backlog grooming sessions
  • Strong understanding of requirement gathering and elicitation techniques
  • Familiarity with standard documentation such as FRD, BRD, and Scope Documents
  • Proficiency in Agile and Scrum practices
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and document information
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain requirements to clients, colleagues, development teams, and QA teams
  • Strong ownership mindset to ensure deliverables are accurate and approved from the Product Owner's side
  • Proficiency in translating high-level requirements into detailed functional documentation
  • Very good understanding of project and product lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of UML diagrams & wireframing
  • Experience working with cross-functional platform technologies including Android, iOS, and Windows
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical team
  • Ability to explain technical details in a non-technical manner
  • A good understanding of mobile applications
  • Good questioning and listening skills

Skills and Experience | Desirable

  • Any BA certification will be an advantage
  • Agile Scrum development experience
  • Mobile development knowledge
  • Comfortable working with APIs and system integrations
  • Web technologies knowledge
  • Retail experience or a strong understanding of retail operations
  • Aha! product management software experience
  • Functional and business documentation for feature requirements
  • Understanding of technical requirements from a system and implementation perspective
