About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in the payment processing domain to support our Transit and Legacy Gateway product lines. This role sits within the product organization and works closely with product managers, product owners, developers, QA teams, and client-facing product specialists.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business needs and technical delivery, translating complex payment domain requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. The role also involves leveraging AI tools to create developer portal content, training materials, and market research outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria, leveraging deep understanding of the payment processing domain (authorization, capture, settlement, chargebacks)
Perform backlog refinement, participate in Agile scrum ceremonies, and ensure stories are sprint-ready with appropriate detail and context
Conduct gap analysis across products to identify risks, dependencies, and potential impacts; proactively communicate findings to stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, QA, product managers, product owners, and client-facing product specialists to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables
Support roadmap prioritization by understanding client needs, market trends, and product strategy; work jointly with product owners on annual planning
Create and maintain content for the Transit Developer Portal, including TikTok-style short-form video presentations, technical documentation, and how-to guides
Leverage AI tools (including Global Payments AI Copilot and external AI platforms) to generate developer portal content, market research, and training materials – ensuring accuracy with no hallucination (RAG-model approach using Transit documentation)
Build and maintain chatbot capabilities for the Developer Portal using AI accelerator frameworks
Participate in daily standups (15–20 minutes) and weekly product calls to stay aligned with the product team's priorities
Work with multiple product lines: Virtual Terminal, Hosted Payments (3 flavors), Gateway, Co-branded, and Commercial products
Support confident delivery by feeding development teams with accurate context and specifications, minimizing last-minute changes and costly post-production fixes
Required Qualifications
7 –10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or equivalent role
Proven experience in the payment processing / fintech industry with strong understanding of payment gateways, transaction processing, authorization/capture/settlement flows
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies including backlog management, sprint planning, and user story creation
Strong ability to write clear acceptance criteria and translate complex business logic into technical specifications
Experience conducting gap analysis, risk assessment, and impact analysis on product features
Familiarity with developer portals, API documentation, and technical content creation
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across geographically distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications
Training or certification in AI accelerator programs (e.g., OutSkill or similar)
Proficiency with AI content generation tools for creating videos, presentations, and market research
Experience working with Global Payments or similar large-scale payment processing
organizations
Familiarity with co-pilot tools and AI-assisted product development workflows
Experience in creating short-form video content (TikTok-style) for technical/product education
