Job Description

Business Analyst – Oracle Applications (7 to 15 years of experience)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong Oracle Applications experience to work on business requirements, functional documentation, solution design, testing, UAT, production support, and post-implementation support.

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Oracle E-Business Suite / Oracle Applications, especially in SCM, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Finance modules. The role requires close coordination with business users, technical teams, QA teams, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with business users and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Prepare functional requirement documents, configuration documents, process flows, and solution design documents.
  • Own and drive assigned tasks across all stages of the project lifecycle, including requirement gathering, functional design, technical coordination, development support, testing, UAT, production deployment, and support.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Coordinate with developers to design, build, test, and deploy Oracle Application solutions.
  • Conduct CRP sessions, requirement workshops, functional walkthroughs, and UAT support sessions.
  • Support SIT, UAT, defect analysis, issue resolution, and production support activities.
  • Work on Oracle SCM and Finance-related business processes, including Procure to Pay and Order to Cash.
  • Review deliverables prepared by junior team members and provide functional guidance.
  • Support code reviews from a functional and solution-alignment perspective.
  • Lead small teams, track deliverables, and ensure timely completion of assigned work.

Required Skills

  • 7–15 years of total IT experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Oracle Applications / Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle SCM and Finance modules.

  • Strong experience in preparing:
  • BRD
  • FRD
  • MD050 / functional design documents
  • Configuration documents
  • Test scenarios
  • UAT documents
  • Process flow documents
  • Good understanding of Oracle technical components, including:
  • Forms
  • Reports
  • PL/SQL
  • Workflow
  • Alerts
  • BI Publisher
  • OAF
  • XML Gateway
  • Shell scripting
  • Good understanding of Oracle Workflow and related business processes.
  • Good knowledge of ADF, SOA, and Fusion Middleware.
  • Experience working with technical teams to develop and deliver customizations, reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and workflows.
  • Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in development support, production support, and post-go-live support.
  • Ability to lead a team and mentor junior resources.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in Indian IT services, consulting, product, or enterprise implementation environments.
  • Experience working with offshore, onsite, and cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications is an added advantage.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles, requirement workshops, and business process discussions.
  • Understanding of integration processes, APIs, middleware, and data migration.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
  • MBA, MCA, or Oracle certifications will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a senior Oracle Business Analyst with strong functional knowledge, good technical understanding, and hands-on delivery experience. The candidate should be comfortable interacting with business users, documenting requirements, coordinating with technical teams, supporting testing, resolving issues, and leading junior team members.

  • Oracle SCM and Finance process knowledge.
