Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in Life Insurance for the Indian market. The ideal candidate should be able to analyze business needs, translate them into functional and technical requirements, and act as a bridge between business stakeholders, development, and QA teams. The candidate should also have basic UI/UX understanding and experience using Gen AI tools for requirement documentation and prototyping support.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Life Insurance processes such as policy lifecycle, underwriting, claims, and servicing
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
- Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand both explicit and implicit requirements
- Act as a bridge between business teams, development teams, and QA teams to ensure requirement clarity
- Create and maintain documentation including BRD, FRD, user stories, and process flows
- Develop diagrams such as process flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, system workflows, and module-level diagrams
- Maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to map requirements with development tasks and test cases
- Collaborate with QA teams to define UAT acceptance criteria and ensure coverage of business requirements
- Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, and review sessions
- Support UAT and release cycles by coordinating with stakeholders and resolving requirement clarifications
- Use Gen AI tools to assist in requirement documentation, analysis, and basic prototype generation
Required Skills
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in the Life Insurance domain (India Market)
- Good understanding of Life Insurance processes such as policy administration, underwriting, claims, and policy servicing
- Strong documentation skills including BRD, FRD, user stories, and requirement analysis
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements
- Basic knowledge of UI/UX principles and wireframing concepts
- Experience with Gen AI tools for documentation, requirement drafting, or idea generation
- Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in maintaining RTM and requirement traceability
Good to Have
- Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma
- Basic understanding of APIs and system architecture
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum development environments
