Job Description

Location: PAN India (Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Delhi)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Required: 8–10 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Life Insurance applications and digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working in Agile environments and possess a strong understanding of life insurance business processes and technology solutions.

This role involves collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into effective technology solutions while aligning with operational and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Conduct workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Analyze and document business requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and functional specifications for system enhancements and product implementations.

Process Analysis & Improvement

  • Analyze existing life insurance processes such as:
    • Policy Administration
    • Claims Processing
    • Underwriting
    • New Business
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
  • Design future-state business processes to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Solution Design & Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with development teams to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
  • Provide clarity on business processes and functional expectations during solution design.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Prepare test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate implemented solutions against business requirements and expected outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and prioritize requirements across multiple stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates, communicate business impacts, and manage expectations effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of overall experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Life Insurance projects, preferably within US insurance environments.
  • Strong experience in:
    • Requirement gathering
    • Stakeholder workshops
    • BRD/FRD documentation
    • User stories and process flows
  • Good understanding of Life Insurance domains including:
    • Policy Administration
    • Claims
    • Underwriting
    • New Business
  • Experience in process analysis, gap analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work closely with business and technical teams to deliver functional solutions.
  • Hands-on experience in:
    • UAT coordination
    • Test case preparation
    • Requirement validation
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery models.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on enterprise-scale digital transformation or insurance modernization projects.
  • Exposure to workflow automation and business process optimization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Work Model & Shift Details

  • Work Model: Hybrid / Remote
  • Shift Timing: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Support may involve rotational or extended business-hour coverage based on project requirements.

Additional Requirements

  • Immediate to 15 days notice period preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are mandatory.
  • Candidates should demonstrate stable career progression and long-term project ownership experience.
  • Interview Process: 3 Rounds
  • Expected Hiring Timeline: 10–15 Days
