Job Title: Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis:
Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, including network monitoring tools and databases.
Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in network performance data.
Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot network issues and proactively identify potential problems.
Report Generation:
Prepare detailed and concise reports on network performance, incidents, and operational metrics.
Create ad-hoc reports as requested by customers and stakeholders.
Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excel Proficiency:
Utilize advanced Excel functions and features to manipulate and visualize data effectively.
Develop Excel-based dashboards and tools to streamline data analysis and reporting processes.
SQL Proficiency:
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
Perform data transformations and joins to create comprehensive datasets for analysis.
Maintain SQL scripts and procedures for data retrieval and analysis.
Customer Interaction:
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand their data analysis needs and requirements.
Communicate effectively with customers to address queries and provide data-driven insights.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data analysis and reporting.
Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency of data-related tasks.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of data analysis procedures, methodologies, and report templates.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity through regular data validation and auditing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, etc.).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools and concepts is a plus.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a bonus.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
