About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Systems Analyst to join our team at Go Digit General Insurance. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of our digital insurance products. This role involves collaborating closely with internal teams such as Sales, Underwriting, Actuary, Operations, Claims, and Finance, as well as external partners, to streamline processes and enhance our service offerings. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of insurance processes, technical proficiency in SQL and API integration, and excellent communication skills. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation journey of a rapidly growing insurance provider, impacting millions of customers across the country.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields. Prior experience in the insurance industry, especially with general insurance products, is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in end-to-end insurance processes such as quoting, policy issuance, finance, and claims management, with expertise in at least one of these areas. Hands-on experience with SQL and API integration is essential, along with a good understanding of Java, microservices, and web services, which will be considered an added advantage. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and external partners. A problem-solving mindset, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to continuous learning are also important qualities for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Underwriting, Actuary, Operations, Claims, and Finance to ensure clear understanding of processes and applications.
  • Engage in requirements elicitation and design system solutions that align with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Define and optimize the customer journey by analyzing touchpoints and improving user experience across digital platforms.
  • Coordinate with the development team on project planning, execution, and timely delivery of software solutions.
  • Participate in weekly sprint planning sessions alongside Product Managers to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Understand business priorities and drive process improvements and system development initiatives accordingly.
  • Ensure seamless integration of APIs and data flows between systems to facilitate real-time information exchange.
  • Test, validate, and troubleshoot system functionalities to maintain high standards of quality and performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.
