Job Description: Business Analyst (Healthcare Domain)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Healthcare industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that healthcare processes, compliance requirements, and patient-centric outcomes are effectively supported by IT systems and data-driven strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering & Analysis

Collaborate with stakeholders (clinicians, administrators, payers, and IT teams) to gather and document business requirements.

Translate healthcare workflows into functional specifications for system enhancements and new solutions.

Process Improvement

Analyze existing healthcare processes (claims, billing, EMR/EHR, patient engagement, provider networks).

Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements aligned with regulatory standards (HIPAA, HL7, ICD-10, FHIR).

Data Analysis & Reporting

Work with healthcare data sets (clinical, financial, operational).

Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reports to support decision-making and improve patient outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams.

Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to ensure alignment across stakeholders.

Compliance & Standards

Ensure solutions adhere to healthcare compliance requirements.

Stay updated on evolving healthcare regulations and industry standards.

Solution Implementation

Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validate solutions against business needs.

Assist in change management and training for end-users.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field.

47 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in the Healthcare domain.

Strong knowledge of healthcare systems (EHR/EMR, claims processing, payer-provider workflows).

Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED).

Proficiency in tools such as MS Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and requirement management tools (JIRA, Confluence).

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
