About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Payments, FinTech, and Banking domains. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in payment gateway systems, reconciliation processes, and financial transaction lifecycle management, along with strong technical-functional capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Functional Analysis

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for payment systems and gateway enhancements

Design end-to-end payment lifecycle workflows, including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation

Work closely with stakeholders to define business processes and system improvements

Create BRD, FRS, SRS, user stories, and use cases

Payments & Reconciliation

Design and support auto-reconciliation and settlement systems

Handle transaction matching, settlement calculations, and exception management

Analyze chargebacks, refunds, and dispute workflows

Ensure accurate financial reporting and controls

System & Integration

Work on API analysis, integration mapping, and data flow design

Collaborate with technical teams for payment gateway integrations (Acquirers/Issuers)

Support both real-time and batch transaction processing systems

Define data mapping and system workflows

Reporting & Analytics

Develop and improve financial and operational reporting systems

Support dashboard creation and reporting automation

Work with tools like SQL, Power BI, and data warehouse systems

Delivery & Stakeholder Management:

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, etc.)

Conduct stakeholder workshops and requirement sessions

Support UAT coordination and production rollout

Ensure timely and high-quality delivery across modules

Skills Required

Domain Expertise

Strong experience in:

Payment Gateways & Processing

Financial Reconciliation & Settlement

Merchant Onboarding & KYC workflows

Transaction lifecycle & reporting

Chargebacks, refunds, and disputes

Technical & Functional Skills:

API Analysis & Integration Mapping

Data Mapping & Process Modelling

System Workflow Design

Strong documentation skills (BRD, FRS, SRS, etc.)

Tools & Technologies:

SQL, Power BI (preferred)

Experience with payment platforms and integrations

Understanding of card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)

Methodologies:

Agile / Scrum

UAT Management

Stakeholder Communication

Experience Required:

• 7+ years as a Business Analyst
• 3+ years in Payments / FinTech / Banking domain
• Proven experience in live system delivery
• Preferred: 10+ years with payment gateway implementation experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with platforms like Stripe, Adyen, Checkout.com, Cybersource

Knowledge of:

• PCI-DSS compliance
• Fraud management systems
• Real-time payments / switch systems
• Central bank integrations
