Position Specifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the finance domain
• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Finance, MBA, or equivalent professional certification
• Skill Set:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros)
• Strong SQL knowledge for data extraction and analysis
• Experience with BI & visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join the Finance team. The role involves bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, enabling data-driven decision-making and driving process improvements across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering & Documentation

• Collaborate with finance stakeholders (Regulatory Reporting, MI/CMA, Treasury, Tax) to gather and understand business requirements
• Document functional and non-functional requirements using industry-standard formats
• Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications
• Develop use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria

2. Process Analysis & Optimization

• Map current (as-is) business processes using BPMN diagrams or flowcharts
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and process gaps
• Design future (to-be) processes with measurable improvements
• Conduct gap analysis between current and target states
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs

3. Data Management & Governance

• Establish and enforce data quality standards and validation rules
• Create and maintain data dictionaries and metadata documentation
• Perform data reconciliation and root cause analysis for discrepancies

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with cross-functional teams and business units on projects
• Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions
• Present insights, findings, and recommendations to finance leadership
• Train end-users on new systems, processes, and reporting tools
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance

5. Project Management

• Lead or contribute to finance transformation initiatives
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
• Track milestones, deliverables, and budgets
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues
• Report project progress to steering committees
