About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst / Project Management Resource with specialized expertise in Oracle FLEXCUBE versions 11.2 and 14.7. This role is based remotely in India and is initially contracted for 12 months with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders, technical teams, database administrators, infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure seamless execution of core banking projects. The primary focus will be on supporting banking operations, managing enhancements, migrations, and providing ongoing production support activities within the Oracle FLEXCUBE environment for a leading bank in the UAE. This position requires a combination of technical proficiency, business acumen, and project management skills to successfully deliver complex banking solutions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in banking operations and technical expertise in Oracle FLEXCUBE. Relevant qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Banking, Finance, or a related field. Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP or Prince2 is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate proven experience working with Oracle FLEXCUBE versions 11.2 and 14.7, along with proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL. Prior experience in banking domain functions such as CIF, CASA, loans, trade finance, payments, treasury, and accounting is essential. Strong stakeholder management, communication skills, and the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst / Project Management Resource, your responsibilities will include:
- Business Analysis: Gathering, analyzing, and documenting detailed business requirements for FLEXCUBE applications. Conducting workshops with stakeholders and business users to understand their needs. Preparing Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), gap analysis reports, process flow diagrams, and solution design documents. Mapping banking workflows to FLEXCUBE functionalities to ensure alignment with operational processes. Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), tracking defects, and obtaining business sign-offs. Assisting in troubleshooting production issues and providing functional analysis for resolution.
- Project Management: Managing the lifecycle of FLEXCUBE enhancements, releases, and implementation projects. Coordinating activities across infrastructure, database administration, middleware, security, and vendor teams to ensure timely delivery. Tracking project timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables, maintaining RAID logs, status reports, and governance documentation. Ensuring compliance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), change management policies, and audit standards. Supporting disaster recovery drills, go-live planning, and conducting post-implementation reviews to evaluate project success and identify areas for improvement.
- FLEXCUBE Functional Expertise: Developing a deep understanding of core banking modules such as CIF, CASA, deposits, loans, trade finance, payments, treasury, general ledger, and accounting. Managing interface reconciliation, batch processing (BOD/EOD), and monitoring production issues for prompt resolution. Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of banking data and processes within the FLEXCUBE environment.
- Database Functional Expertise (Oracle): Understanding the Oracle FLEXCUBE schema, including transaction, interface, and batch tables. Performing SQL query analysis, data validation, and reconciliation activities. Working with stored procedures, packages, triggers, views, and jobs to support functional requirements. Collaborating with DBAs for cloning, database refreshes, backups, and recovery activities to maintain database health and performance.
