Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Work as a consultant to gather, document, and understand client business processes and requirements and as an implementer to deliver the agreed-upon functionality.
  • Coordinate between teams of technical resources and business stakeholders, ensuring a thorough understanding of the technologies, systems, and processes used in achieving project objectives.
  • Prepare UAT documents and run UAT with the client.
  • Assist the QA team with test plans.
  • Perform process mapping and process improvement.
  • Ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and with high customer satisfaction.
  • Gather and document client business processes and requirements.
  • Write and/or review project business requirements, process and data flows, and other related documentation.
  • Maintain business cases, change requests, test plans, and issue/action tracking while making recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform application gap analysis and document changes.
  • Track and resolve bug/defect reports.
  • Manage client-specific application configuration and change request management.
  • Provide recommendations and implement changes to improve and support business activities.
  • Interact with various client groups to provide analytical support.
  • Assist teams with the planning and design of business processes and systems.
  • Demonstrate a deep knowledge of company business procedures and objectives.
  • Exhibit superior collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Organize and perform client training sessions (formal and informal).
  • Provide post-go-live support, preparing UAT documents and running UAT with clients.
  • Participate in functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Perform issue triage and tracking.
  • Coordinate between technical resources and business collaborators to ensure the project is completed successfully.
  • Write user documentation as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A minimum of 4 to 8 years experience as a Business Analyst.
  • A BA/BS or master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical equivalent.
  • Experience studying pipeline schematics and translating them into pipeline models.
  • Data analysis experience, with an emphasis on graphics-based analytics.
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst in a project and services-oriented environment, including interaction with external clients.
  • Experience with project lifecycles from requirements to support transition.
  • Basic understanding or working knowledge of C#, WPF, SQL, and XML.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and exemplary organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel for business (up to 50%).

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Oil & Gas experience.
  • Experience with Visio and Access is a plus.
  • Intermediate to Expert level in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • A good balance of technical knowledge and business acumen to help the team capture, evaluate, analyze, and deliver on business needs.
  • Ability to identify and effectively document issues, risks, and action items.
  • Experience with new product development and release cycles in a Professional Services/Technology Solutions environment.
  • Experience working with distributed and overseas teams.
