Business Analyst

Summary

As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the agile development cycle for a product development center. This techno-functional role involves analyzing international banking regulations and translating them into software solutions and functional specifications.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze regulations and business/client requirements from national and international banking authorities.
• Translate regulations into functional specifications including Data Gap Analysis, Data Modelling & Mapping, and Business/Validation rules.
• Perform functional implementations using SQL.
• Create and validate functional scenarios & test data, conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and perform regression testing.
• Develop a clear understanding of product roadmaps through interaction with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts.
• Maintain detailed end-user documentation and internal technical-functional guides.
• Provide support for customer projects and resolve functional tickets.
• Collaborate with national and international colleagues at all levels and skills within the organization.
  
  

Key Requirements

• Primary key skills - Regulatory Reporting, Basel III / Basel IV, PD, LGD & EAD, SQL, Banking Domain Experience.
• 3+ years experience in a Bank, Financial Institution, or IT firm within the banking domain.
• Degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, Mathematics, Economics or Charted Accountants/ICWA preferred.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with XML, XBRL, JSON, and MS Excel/Access.
• Basic understanding of Banking Products, Financial Instruments, and Financial Markets.
• Fair understanding of Balance Sheets, P&L statements, and basic accounting concepts.
• Knowledge of Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, and Basel accords.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Hands-on experience working within Agile project environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
