Job Purpose

The Business Analyst will participate in a data warehouse renewal/migration project.

The Vice President acts as the team and project lead, responsible for overall planning and management of as-is/to-be data mapping activities, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination. The Vice President is expected to lead by example in performing data mapping tasks.

Key Accountabilities

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop and manage the overall plan for as-is/to-be data mapping and migration activities in the data warehouse renewal project.
  • Define the scope and workflow of mapping activities based on system specifications, data definitions, and business requirements.
  • Develop target operating models, workflows, and process documentation.
  • Lead steering committees, manage releases, and ensure transparency in reporting.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as the main interface with business stakeholders, business users, IT developers, and vendors for requirement alignment, issue resolution, and status reporting.
  • Coordinate and confirm requirements with business users and IT; support requirement clarification, impact analysis, and documentation.
  • Manage product backlogs (JIRA), participate in SIT/UAT planning, and manage UAT execution and defect prioritization.

Business Requirement and Data Mapping Coordination

  • Design, lead, and facilitate the overall collection and organization of mapping-related information and requirements from both business users and IT specialists.
  • Oversee consolidation and analysis to identify differences and gaps, drive consensus-building and requirement alignment, provide guidance to Senior Officers, review/validate deliverables.
  • Gather requirements, perform impact analysis across multiple systems, and collaborate with BA teams, IT developers, and vendors.
  • Collect information from business users and IT specialists as instructed, organize and document details, prepare drafts, support gap analysis and mapping documentation, escalate issues as needed, ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform techno-functional analysis, specifically for platforms like T360, Flexcube, Murex, and others.
  • Review test cases, support SIT/UAT, and ensure seamless integration across systems.

Documentation and Quality Control

  • Prepare, review, and update data mapping documentation and related project materials.
  • Support the compilation of project documentation and maintain consistency of deliverables.
  • Address complex issues, recommend solutions, and ensure delivery alignment.

Risk and Issue Management

  • Identify project risks, impacts, and issues; propose solutions and contingency plans.

User Support and Knowledge Transfer

  • Promote standardization of deliverables and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Assist in end-user adoption activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in handling data related to loans, trade finance, deposits, markets, and remittances in departments in charge of regulatory reporting, such as accounting or risk management, with responsibility for various regulatory reporting tasks, and participation in requirements definition and testing (validation) phases of renewal projects for regulatory reporting systems or their upstream systems; or experience acting as a counterpart to such departments with a primary focus on requirements definition, coordination, and consideration of workarounds.
  • Practical experience in mapping current (As-Is) and new (To-Be) systems, as well as organizing, coordinating, and examining business requirements.
  • Proven track record in coordinating and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including business units, IT, and vendors.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in DWH system renewal/migration, requirements definition, or data migration projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, reliability, attention to detail, ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proactive learner and team player.
  • (For VP) Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members; strong leadership and a high sense of responsibility.
