Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst (Finance & Microfinance) with strong expertise in technology, business analysis, and financial systems. You will bridge the gap between finance/microfinance business needs and technical solutions, ensuring successful delivery of projects that empower financial inclusion and digital transformation in the financial services sector.
Experience: 5 - 7 Years
Location Bangalore -Should be willing to travel short term which client needs
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with finance and microfinance stakeholders to capture and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.
Translation to Technical Specs: Convert financial business needs into actionable technical requirements aligned with project objectives.
System & Data Analysis: Analyze existing financial systems, applications, and data structures to identify optimization opportunities.
Collaboration with Development: Work closely with engineering teams to define and prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
Documentation: Maintain functional specifications, user stories, and technical design documents.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate collaboration between technical teams, finance stakeholders, and external vendors.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as SME on financial/microfinance systems and platforms, guiding both technical and non-technical team members.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
5–7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with proven exposure to finance and microfinance projects.
Strong understanding of financial products, microfinance workflows, loan management systems, and regulatory compliance.
Track record of translating business requirements into technical specifications and delivering high-quality solutions.
Proficiency in analyzing financial systems and data structures for improvement.
Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Experience in Agile methodologies and working in dynamic environments.
Hands-on ability to:
Query DB tables for financial data validation.
Understand APIs for integrations with core banking/microfinance systems.
Navigate environments like staging, UAT, and production.
