Job Summary
The Business Systems Analyst acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technology team. They are responsible for assessing business needs, documenting requirements, and ensuring that IT solutions meet these requirements. This role requires a blend of business acumen and technical knowledge, as the analyst must understand both the operational needs of the business and the capabilities of technology. They also play a key role in system testing, user training, and the implementation of new systems.
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead and manage project teams to achieve project goals and objectives
- Develop project plans and schedules
- Monitor and track project progress and report to stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate project risks
Business Analysis
- Conduct requirements gathering and analysis to understand business needs
- Document business requirements and create functional specifications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and validate solutions

System Analysis and Design
- Evaluate existing systems and identify areas for improvement

Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
- Proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools such as SQL, Excel, and specialized software relevant to the business.
- Experience with ERP systems, CRM software, or other business management platforms.
- Experience with business process reengineering and requirements gathering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise between stakeholders and technical teams.
- Familiarity with project management principles and the ability to oversee projects from conception to implementation.
