Amazon's Retail Business Services (RBS) team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help expand its Stranded Inventory Reduction Program (SIRP) . Objective of the Program is to eliminate inventory defects in our warehouses. We understand root cause for these defects and fix/eliminate the defects, thereby increase their availability and sales by enhancing customer experience. Our end customers are the Buying customer and Selling partners. We work hard to reduce the buying customer's product non-availability and to improve the profitability of our selling partners.

Are you passionate about solving business problems at a global scale In this role, you will partner with various teams to develop data funnels for inventory defects and improve the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and consistency of our data. We are looking for a curious analytical leader to transform data into models, stories and reports to answer critical business questions. You will own the adoption and usage of insights from data to drive real-time decisions.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Engage with global leaders and stakeholders across to develop and manage the definitions, logic and models for standard KPIs and operating goals.
  • Build scalable products/solutions which will impact inventory health in Amazon.
  • Identify root causes for inventory defects, work with SMEs and Tech teams on implementing Corrective-Preventive Actions.
  • Develop and hand-off technical documentation for automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional tech and non-tech teams including Accounting, Finance, Retail, Product management and Engineering.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own the development and maintenance of new and existing artefacts focused on analysis of requirements, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
  • Partner with teach/business teams to consult, develop and implement KPI's, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
  • Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.
  • Excellent writing skills, to create artefacts easily digestible by business and tech partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience
  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
