This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from our office in Noida/Bengaluru (1 to 2 times/ week). Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members, local and visiting, from other global offices.
The Opportunity
As a Module Lead in the Pension Payroll team, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the pension payroll module implementation across multiple client projects. You will manage a team of Business Analysts and Configuration Specialists, ensure successful delivery of pension payroll solutions, and drive continuous improvement in processes and methodologies. Your role will involve strategic planning, technical leadership, stakeholder management, and mentoring team members to deliver high-quality pension payroll implementations that meet client requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the pension payroll module implementation across multiple concurrent client projects
- Oversee the complete pension payroll configuration lifecycle, from requirements gathering through testing and deployment
- Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts and Configuration Specialists, providing technical guidance and professional development
- Analyze complex client business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications for pension payroll systems
- Review and validate functional specifications, test cases, and configuration decisions prepared by team members
- Establish and enforce best practices for pension payroll configuration, testing, and documentation standards
- Conduct comprehensive testing and quality assurance on pension payroll configurations, including payroll calculations, benefit accruals, deductions, and compliance validations
- Perform end-to-end testing of payroll processes, from data validation to final payroll output and reconciliation
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Client Managers, Technical Architects, Infrastructure teams, and other module leads to address project requirements and dependencies
- Maintain and validate configuration data across pension payroll modules, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues and client-specific requirements
- Develop and maintain release metrics, reporting dashboards, and KPI tracking for module performance
- Participate in and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance configuration, testing, and release management methodologies
- Drive adherence to project SLAs, defined workflows, and quality standards across the module
- Plan and allocate tasks in project management tools (ADO), monitor progress, and ensure timely completion
- Conduct code reviews and validate configurations against requirement artifacts
- Support knowledge management by documenting best practices, lessons learned, and creating training materials for the team
- Participate in resource planning and capacity management for the pension payroll module
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) for pension payroll domain within the organization
- Coach team members on pension payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and system capabilities
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience in pension payroll, benefits administration, or related IT implementation roles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Bonus Points
- Knowledge of pension payroll domain, including payroll calculations, benefit accruals, deductions, pension fund management, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation, testing, and reporting
- Advanced working knowledge of pension payroll systems
- Strong expertise in configuration management practices, tools, and methodologies
- Intermediate to advanced skills in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS for custom configurations and troubleshooting
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in pension and payroll (e.g., ERISA, IRS regulations, state-specific requirements)
