Job Description

Business Development Executive (BDE)

Experience: 1–5 Years

Industry: IT Services / Software Development / AI Solutions

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Sales
  • Generate and qualify leads through LinkedIn, Upwork, cold outreach, referrals, and online platforms
  • Conduct discovery calls with clients to understand business and technical requirements
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Follow up with leads and manage sales pipeline effectively
  • Convert inquiries into business opportunities and closures

Technical Requirement Understanding

  • Understand client requirements at a software development level
  • Translate business requirements into technical documentation
  • Coordinate with developers, designers, and project managers for estimations
  • Understand web, mobile, SaaS, AI, and automation project workflows
  • Ask the right technical questions during client discussions

Proposal & Documentation

  • Prepare professional proposals, Scope of Work (SOW), BRD, feature lists, and project estimations independently
  • Create project timelines, milestones, and cost breakdowns
  • Draft client presentations and solution documents
  • Maintain proper project documentation and communication records
  • Handle revisions and change requests professionally

Required SkillsTechnical Understanding

  • Basic understanding of:
  • Web Development
  • Mobile App Development
  • APIs & Integrations
  • AI Chatbots / AI Agents
  • CRM & Automation Tools
  • Familiarity with technologies like React, Node.js, Python, Laravel, Flutter, etc. is preferred

Business Development Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation and follow-up abilities
  • Ability to understand client pain points and propose solutions
  • Experience in IT sales or software service selling preferred

Documentation Skills

  • Proposal Writing
  • BRD/SRS Documentation
  • Cost Estimation
  • Scope Definition
  • Requirement Gathering

Tools Knowledge (Preferred)

  • CRM Tools
  • Google Docs / Excel / Sheets
  • Figma or Wireframing Tools
  • Trello / Jira / ClickUp
  • AI Tools like ChatGPT, Claude, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Applications, or related field
  • Prior experience in IT business development preferred
