Project Overview:

Were seeking an experienced Build and Integration Engineer (Yocto) engineer for our project.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Use the Yocto Project to configure, customize, and build Linux distributions for embedded systems.
  • Development of new Yocto Layer and recipe for all development related to the project.
  • Integrate third-party libraries, tools, and drivers into custom Linux distributions.
  • Development of new Yocto Layer and recipe for all development related to the project.
  • Triaging build failures, providing solutions/guidance to users.
  • Actively collaborating with CI/Build implementation team on major failures/findings.
  • Troubleshoot build issues and optimize build times.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize workflows and ensure seamless integration.

Key skills -

  • Strong experience with the Yocto Project, including writing recipes, layers, and customizing images within continuous integration (CI) environment.
  • Knowledge and Good Hands-on experience of scripting languages (Python, shell-scripting).
  • Proficient in C programming and Linux.
  • Experience in version control systems (e.g., Git) and build automation tools.
  • Familiarity with tools like menuconfig, make, and kernel patches.
  • Experience with Jfrog, Artifactory, Gitlab CI.
  • Knowledge of automotive infotainment system architecture and components.

Preferred:

  • Experiences in Android architecture, Build system.
  • Knowledge of Bazel build system
